THE LINEAGE
Santiago is an artist born in Mexico City. He grew up most of his life in Tequisquiapan, surrounded by the sensitivity, experience, and knowledge acquired by the mastery of his father Knut Pani and his grandfather Mario Pani.
The artist, currently living between Mexico and the Netherlands, has a lot of respect and admiration for his family. Lineage is the first link created by the artist for the lodging firm that seeks art related to the story that each hotel tells. Pug Seal Anatole France pays tribute to the European families that have emigrated to this country, bringing along their culture, flavors, and traditions through the years, enriching and merging with Mexican culture, giving it a new identity.
THE FIRST RESIDENT
It is the name of the first work, inspired by the abstract character that inhabited the house where the hotel locates today. It contains an artistic conversation between realism and the artist’s abstract style.
THE PATRONESS
The second work is a portrait based on an image of the actress and international influencer Ela Velden, who acts as the «Head of the House» in the grandest scale work that the artist has created to date.
In this piece, Fragments_and_Forms studio, a project created by the Mexicans Mar Namihira and Aldo Cañedo, explore post-digital aesthetic production, where new technologies take on great relevance by living with materials and processes typical of art and design, to create in the field artistic a digital aesthetic related to programming, light, projection, sensors and sound design, all guided by the contemplation of the works.
