Summer 2021 is the time of the great return to the central scene for yoga; even the season is related to some types of practices like the 8-limb method. This discipline focuses on the eight essential paths of yoga which are:
- YAMA – Our moral discipline, for example, non-violence, control of sexuality, and honesty.
- NIYAMA – Our behavior, for example, satisfaction, discipline, gratitude.
- ASANA – Posture, and mastery of the art of contemplation and meditation.
- PRANAYAMA – Breathing techniques.
- PRATYAHARA – Withdrawal of the senses.
- DHARANA – Channeled concentration.
- DHYANA – Meditation.
- SAMADHI – Enlightenment, commitment to the divine.
Combining these eight branches allows you to achieve the ultimate goal of yoga: to be one with the physical and spiritual world around you. More than an exercise routine, this is a lifestyle that empowers you, makes you feel grateful and safe: it fills all its practitioners with positive energy.

Functional training uses classic movements like squats, push-ups, stretching, and much more and can be executed with or without equipment. It is incredible since you can include different kinds of movements to avoid falling into a routine. Also, the main goal of functional training is to gain control of your body, not weight loss. Exercise should be a positive thing, so Functional training is a great way to feel in control and proud of your body.

We look forward to the arrival in Latinamerica of Glide Fit classes and all its modalities. This incredible trend has conquered different parts of the world, thanks to its staggering and fun training options in each of its certified centers.
If 2019 was the year for Stand Up Paddleboarding, 2022 is the year for Glide Fit. This workout combines elements of functional training and balance training.
Glide Fit uses a platform that floats above the water. Above, you will perform a series of training based on stability on the water. It’s great for those who want to work out without too much effort and those who like extra intensity. Of course, beginners require a certain level of balance and strength to stand firm on the platform, so unless you already have enough force and condition, you will need a couple of classes before mastering the movements without falling.
It’s a great exercise to strengthen your abdomen while improving your coordination, reaction time, and body awareness.
Hopefully, 2022 will be the year for Glide Fit’s boom in Latinamerica.
