Mexican folk art is masks, clay, skulls, fantastic creatures, devils, and other beautiful objects. At least, that is what Dr. Miguel Abruch Linder proposes in his book Mexican Popular Art. A beautiful publication in which he shares with the reader the result of more than thirty years of collecting and fondness for these cultural treasures.
For the author, the publication of this book basically pursues two objectives. The first is to offer a minimal contribution that promotes the dissemination and exhibition of artisan work. To get more people interested, appreciate, enjoy, share, acquire and even collect Mexican folk art. And the second objective is to offer recognition and a small and personal tribute to our history.
The presentation of this book took place at the Museum of Popular Art, and it is available in the MAP store or in prestigious bookstores. Without a doubt, it is a jewel to enjoy and an excellent gift to share.
