All the kids of the nineties recognize Michael Jordan as an idol and pop culture icon of the last decade of the past century. The six-ring winner with the Chicago Bulls and Greatest Athlete of the 20th century, according to ESPN, has earned a place in the hearts of the entire world and the Air Jordan classics are a piece that awakens the best of retro nostalgia. Neither Kobe nor LeBron, number One will always be Jordan.
In tribute to this legend, Nike has presented a new collection under its Jordan brand, the sub-brand in collaboration with Michael Jordan, which will consist of retro Jordans. The Spring 2022 Retro Collection recalls Michael Jordan’s legendary career and footwear that matches some of the great athlete’s milestones.
This collection will have Air Jordan 1, 3, 4, and 5, but it will not have Air Jordan 2. The collection inspired by the original designs from the first model of each iteration of Air Jordan features a contemporary twist, packed with references and nods that Jordan fans are sure to understand, such as sporting events, past style iterations, or iconic Jordan brand events.
