The Body Shop has launched charging stations in 400 retail stores worldwide. The global initiative is part of the brand’s commitment to reducing plastic waste in the beauty and cosmetics industries. The Body Shop recently announced plans to expand the initiative to 49% of US stores by late 2022.

Additionally, the retailer begins a five-year plan to roll out its charging stations in most of The Body Shop’s global stores. By the end of the year, the Body Shop estimates it will save 25 tons of plastic and help prevent up to five pounds of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. Customers will be able to recharge their products sustainably.
