Since 1989 the Icehotel has been an iconic tourist destination in Sweden. Located in Jukkasjarvi, its spacious rooms and numerous suites are made of ice from the Torne River and assembled annually as soon as the cold allows.

This dream destination is a dream come true. The first time it was built, more than 30 years ago, was sculpted by hand from the stunning blocks of ice from the river. Today, this place attracts fascinated visitors from all over the world.

In this winter wonderland, you will find pieces of temporary art created from ice, in which they have collaborated with multiple personalities.

This year Bernadotte & Kylberg, an award-winning studio founded by Carl Philip Bernadotte and Oscar Kylberg, designed a new suite called «A Midsummer Night’s Dream.» The new suite will remain year-round as part of Iceholtel 365, which features some of the season’s most distinguished ice architectural designs. The studio duo incorporated frozen flowers and plants in blocks of ice for the room’s walls and furniture.

The idea is to show the visitor the true character of ice as it encapsulates the most delicate and beautiful flowers of summer in Sweden. For this population, the middle of summer, and especially its nights, are full of mythical characters and legends that will accompany you on a magical night when you stay in this room.
