On the dial is a mysterious Mexican skull inspired by pop art, a symbol of this annual festival that casts brilliant flashes of color at the center of a 40mm case in black bead-blasted and DLC-treated stainless steel.

A timepiece powered by the L.U.C 96.53-L movement. An automatic caliber conceived and delicately handcrafted in the Chopard Manufacture workshops.

The L.U.C Skull One Calavera Pop Art is a blackened stainless steel watch powered by splendid handcrafted mechanical movement. In addition, it is an extra flat its case is only 7.2 mm thick. A striking and colorful interpretation of the Day of the Dead tradition, elegantly visualized by Chopard artisans.

The black color of the DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treated case and the dauphine hour and minute hands create a radically gloomy contrast against the striking pop art tones.

The kitsch aspect of the Feast of the Dead motifs stands in the stylized L.U.Chopard logo that’s inserted into the mustache to evoke the House’s founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard. The watch comes on a black leather strap with green lining and red and green stitching, the colors of the Mexican national flag. The steel buckle is treated as well with black DLC.

Behind the playful dial of the L.U.C Skull One Calavera Pop is the Chopard L.U.C 96.53-L movement, a luxurious ultra-thin automatic caliber designed and assembled in the Chopard Manufacture workshops in Fleurier. Thanks to Chopard’s Twin Technology, whereby two coaxial barrels work in sequence, the movement provides 58 hours of power reserve.
