Louis Vuitton unveils the Trophy Trunk for the World Cup 2026

Some objects transcend their purpose to become part of history. The Trophy Trunk created by Louis Vuitton for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is one of them.

The French Maison has unveiled the official trunk that will safeguard football’s most coveted trophy throughout the tournament, which will be hosted for the first time across Mexico, the United States, and Canada. More than a protective case, it is a masterpiece of craftsmanship that reflects over 170 years of heritage while reinforcing the connection between luxury and some of the world’s most celebrated sporting events.

The craftsmanship of Asnières

Like Louis Vuitton’s most iconic creations, the Trophy Trunk is handcrafted at the Maison’s historic Asnières workshops, just outside Paris, where generations of artisans continue to preserve the techniques that first defined the brand’s legendary travel trunks.

Its design combines the unmistakable Monogram Canvas with a striking gold “V” motif, symbolizing both Victory and Vuitton. Gold-plated brass corners, locks, and hardware pay tribute to the Maison’s original trunks from the 19th century, while the interior, lined in elegant beige leather, has been specially designed to protect the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

Every detail reflects Louis Vuitton’s enduring philosophy: creating exceptional pieces worthy of life’s most extraordinary moments.

A tradition that celebrates greatness

Over the years, Louis Vuitton has transformed trophy presentation into an extension of its heritage. The Maison has created bespoke trunks for some of the world’s most prestigious sporting competitions, bringing its signature Art of Travel into the realm of elite sport.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Trophy Trunk will make its official debut during the tournament’s final match, carried onto the pitch by Louis Vuitton Ambassadors alongside a FIFA legend, reinforcing the message that has defined this collaboration:

“Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.”

More than a slogan, it embodies the shared pursuit of excellence that unites world-class craftsmanship with the highest achievements in sport.

A limited-edition collection inspired by the Trophy Trunk

To accompany the unveiling, Louis Vuitton has also introduced a limited-edition collection inspired by the Trophy Trunk’s distinctive design.

The collection includes the Coffret 8 Montres, designed to store eight timepieces; the Cotteville 16 Montres, dedicated to fine watch collectors; and the Malle Courrier Lozine 110, a contemporary interpretation of one of the Maison’s most iconic travel trunks.

Each piece features Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram Canvas, hand-painted artwork inspired by the FIFA World Cup Trophy, and the option to personalize the trunk with the owner’s initials—bringing the Maison’s celebrated craftsmanship into the world of football collectibles.

More than a trophy case

As the FIFA World Cup 2026 prepares to make history with its unprecedented tri-nation format, Louis Vuitton once again demonstrates that exceptional design can become part of the spectacle itself.

The Trophy Trunk does far more than protect one of the world’s most prestigious sporting prizes. It symbolizes the meeting point of French craftsmanship, timeless design, innovation, and the universal passion for football.

A creation designed for one singular purpose: to carry the trophy every nation dreams of lifting.
