Precision, speed and spectacle: inside the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico City 2026

Mexico City once again became a global stage for elite show jumping as the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico City returned to Campo Marte, bringing together some of the world’s top riders for one of the most technically demanding stops on the international circuit.

At the center of it all was Piergiorgio Bucci, who claimed victory in the Grand Prix with a decisive jump-off time of 43.68 seconds aboard Pallieter vd N. Ranch. With this win, Bucci becomes only the second Italian rider to secure the Mexico Grand Prix title—an achievement that underscores both precision and control at the highest level of the sport.

The podium reflected the competitive intensity of the event. Katrin Eckermann took second place following her recent success in Miami, while Simon Delestre secured third, both delivering standout performances throughout the competition.

Out of 40 riders who qualified, only 11 completed the course without faults—a testament to the technical complexity of a track designed by Mexican course designer Anderson Lima. Among them, Mexico’s Eugenio Garza came close to victory, posting a faster time than Bucci but losing the lead after a final obstacle fault in the closing seconds.

Beyond the competition, the event also reinforced the intersection between sport, precision, and design. As the official partner and timekeeper, Longines presented the Longines HydroConquest, a collection that reflects the same values seen in the arena: performance, reliability, and refined aesthetics.

With its updated design—available in 39 mm and 42 mm cases, ceramic bezels, and a range of modern dial finishes—the HydroConquest balances technical functionality with everyday versatility.

In a setting where every second counts, the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico 2026 made it clear that high performance is measured not only by time, but by precision, consistency, and style.
