In the city of San Francisco. Currently, Airbnb has 4 million hosts who have shared their spaces with more than 1,000 million travelers in almost every country globally. Every day, hosts offer stays out of the ordinary and unique experiences that allow travelers to discover the world.

This platform also offers its users a series of unique and incredible experiences, such as the one we present below. The iconic Moulin Rouge windmill reveals a secret room to spend the night by booking on Airbnb.

Located in the heart of Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge is known as the birthplace of the French Cancan: a charmingly energetic cabaret and symbolic spectacle of the Belle Epoque. For the first time in its long history, the legendary Parisian monument can be reserved for a night in its historic red windmill.

The Moulin Rouge is opening a signature room inside the iconic red windmill that has been lavishly designed to transport guests back to the late 19th century. A room designed to revive the art and romanticism of the Belle Époque and live a great experience through time. Few people know about the space inside the mill. It has never been open to the public and can now be booked through Airbnb for a night.

Star dancer Claudine Van Den Bergh will open the doors to the enchanting hideaway, offering three single one-night stays for two guests each on June 13, 20, and 27.

Guests will get a peek behind the velvet curtains, backstage access, a traditional French three-course meal, and the best seats during the Moulin Rouge’s acclaimed Féerie show. And an overnight stay inside the iconic windmill. All for just 1 euro per night.

Three overnight stays for just €1 a night will offer a peek behind the velvet curtains of the world-renowned cabaret and a glimpse into the spectacular world of French splendor and glamour.

Throughout its picturesque history, the mill was first built in 1889 as a nod to the place’s rural origins and rebuilt three decades later after a fire. It has never been opened to the public…until now, which guests will be able to travel back in time to experience:

  • An ostentatious dressing room filled with refined Art Nouveau elements, including a miniature paper stage to immerse guests in the spirit of the place.
  • A wardrobe area with glamorous accessories from the Belle Epoque, including period costumes, aromatic perfumes, and effusive fan letters.
  • A private terrace at the top of the building, adorned with an ornate pagoda and characteristic garden furniture of the time, creates an ideal setting for a cocktail after the show.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to an evening carefully crafted to experience the grandeur of the illustrious venue. Highlights include:

  • A private visit to the Moulin Rouge: its history, costume makers, and behind the scenes.
  • An aperitif on the romantic deck terrace, followed by a three-course dinner from the Belle Époque menu, prepared by resident chef Arnaud Demerville. The following morning there will also be a classic Parisian Petit Déjeuner.
  • An encounter with the principal dancer and Airbnb hostess, Claudine Van Den Bergh, in her dressing room and photos on stage with the show’s cast.
  • The best seats in the room during the Moulin Rouge show, Féerie: a fantasy world of feathers and French luxury, with sensational performances, elegant sets, and original music.
  • And, of course, an unforgettable night inside the famous red mill.

Starting Tuesday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. CEST, guests can request to book one of three single, overnight stays taking place on June 13, 20, and 27 at airbnb.com/moulinrouge.
