The long-awaited luxury swap has finally arrived. The creation of Donatella Versace, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Kim Jones, better known as Fendace, has officially launched its first collection.

The collection combines Fendi and Versace house motifs with classic luxury pieces. It was presented at Milan Fashion Week last September.

Fendace presents a Versace by Fendi and Fendi by Versace range, bringing together design notes from Jones, Silvia, and Donatella. Each artistic director has reinterpreted staple pieces from both brands to create an entirely new collection consisting of a ready-to-wear collection alongside bags, footwear, and other accessories.

In a press release, Jones said:

It is exchanging more than collaboration. Mostly it is done out of friendship and the beauty of being together after time apart. It is also a celebration of the women who have inspired me.

Donatella adds to Jones’ sentiments by stating:

The campaign captures the same sense of friendship and energy we had when designing the collection. Kim is a visionary and innovative designer. To me, Fendace will always mean love.

The designs present a reversal of roles and brand codes. Fendi’s iconic double F logo is combined with Versace’s baroque print as the Versace Medusa emblazoned on the Fendi baguette.

The Fendace collection is now available online at Versace and Fendi and physically at pop-up stores in New York City, Los Angeles, Dubai, London, and Tokyo.
