From 0 to 62 mph in just 2,6 seconds. It’s not magic. It’s science!

Do you remember when you were a kid, and movies and Sunday cartoons invited you to dream about fantastic and futuristic cars? Aerodynamic designs that don’t need gasoline were a fantasy up until a few years ago. However, that future is now the present. And a myriad of luxurious eco-friendly transports is available. Even the most demanding drivers can get what they desire. 

If you are on the market and planning to invest in a luxury electric car, you are a speed geek, or maybe you are curious to know some of the advantages of the Porsche Taycan, and what makes it different from other vehicles of this kind, you can’t miss the fun series of videos by the popular engineer and scientific figure Bill Nye “The Science Guy”. Considered by many of us as some sort of childhood icon.

At the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles, Bill Nye explains the technology behind the first fully electric vehicle by Porsche.

On its YouTube channel, Porsche Cars North America posted a series of five videos under the title  “‘Bill Nye Explains The All-Electric Taycan”.

Throughout the 10 minutes series, viewers will get to know and understand the state of the ark technology behind the Taycan. As well as its unique design, and all the features that make for an exceptional driving experience. 

Using simple terms and with his charismatic signature style, Nye breaks down complex subjects, like the technology of the 800 volts battery, signature of the Taycan, and the added value of its regenerative breaks, two-speed transmission, and aerodynamic designs. So, don’t feel daunted if you don’t get a word of what this means. 

However, if you love speed the thing to know is that the Taycan Turbo S is the star of the collection of this kind of vehicle. It can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 2,6 seconds. Its equipped with full traction, and thanks to its two electronic engines can generate up to 761 CV (750 hp, 560 kW).

And that is no magic. It’s science.
