Mercedes-Benz is committed to a greener future and surprising the world with a novel eBike. The new Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team eBike, designed in conjunction with the Mercedes-EQ Formula E team, masters the knowledge of road cars and Formula E racers to create one of the most stylish electric bikes on the market.
The Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team e-bike showcases the beauty of simplicity reflected in much of Mercedes-Benz’s design language today. It was constructed from a lightweight 6061 aluminum frame and trimmed to hide the battery and power unit for a minimalist aesthetic, keeping the industry-standard external battery out of sight.
Similarly, traditional details like a chain are gone and swapped for a Gates CDX carbon belt drive, while Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and puncture-resistant Kendra Ks tires stand out. A final touch of frame-embedded LED lights indicates battery levels to make this the most up-to-date and stylish electric bike so far.
