After many expectations, the record for the best male player in the world is broken, after breaking 21 Grand Slam titles, in the singles category, during the last Australian Open. The honor went to the beloved of the public, the Majorcan Rafael Nadal, who wore a fine watchmaking piece as an amulet. An exquisite $1 million tourbillon watch designed by the legendary Richard Mille.

After five and a half hours of grueling work against his Russian opponent Daniil Medvedev, the tennis legend managed time in the Richard Mille RM 27-04 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal. Its extraordinary design and state-of-the-art technology accompanied him during the tournament.

This timepiece is the latest installment in a series of nine watches created by Mille under the Rafael Nadal name, presented in 2020 as part of a limited edition of 50 pieces.

Its design includes a grade five tourbillon with a titanium movement, supported by a single steel cable, woven into a net shape to evoke the structure of a tennis racket. In addition, this piece is ultra-light thanks to its case made of TitaCarb compounds and its woven fabric strap, so it weighs only 30 grams.

This model also celebrates the tenth anniversary of the partnership between Rafael Nadal and Richard Mille. A partnership that began with professional infatuation; and evolved through mutual admiration and the friendship and trust between the two legends.
