SIAR 2023, the largest meeting of fine watchmaking in the world

For years, lovers and enthusiasts of the world of Fine Watchmaking have gathered at the International Fine Watchmaking Exhibition to learn about the most recent developments, interact with astonishing personalities from the world of fine watchmaking, better understand the universe of complications and present the most exclusive and avant-garde timepieces to the Mexican market.

For its 17th edition, SIAR presented more than twenty international releases and editions for Mexico. For three days, prestigious collectors, jewelers, and watch brands celebrated their shared passion for unique pieces that can only be seen and touched at SIAR.

In this edition, forty-nine luxury brands gathered to welcome connoisseurs and new enthusiasts of the watch market. Nearly four thousand participants and media members witnessed the launches of iconic models such as the Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert by IWC.

Other watches that have seen the light for the first time at the SIAR are Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Maritime Blue, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Tourbillon ( first tourbillon), Cvstos Chrono Sprint Steel / Sky Blue, Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chronograph and Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin and Leica ZM11.

The love for Mexico is evident in the SIAR with the special editions with national motifs. In this sense, several firms created very exclusive pieces. De Bethune Cempasúchil II, Chopard L.U.C Skull One Calavera Pop Art, Jacob & Co. Epic

Furthermore, this 2023 show was the perfect setting to debut striking and innovative pieces such as La Danse du Temps, inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead, by the watchmaking house Biver, by the genius Jean-Claude Biver and his son Pierre, who They chose the SIAR as the destination to show the public their first creation, a minute repeater with chime.

As a sign of the prestige of this event, prestigious brands such as Tudor returned after eight years to exhibit new products like the new Pelagos FXD Chrono. This 2023, SIAR welcomed brands that were making their debut, such as Longines, who showed their latest innovations and held an event with the dancer Greta Elizondo, a friend of the brand. It was also the first time at the Seiko show, Gerald Charles, a brand founded by Gerald Genta, Leica watches, and Golden Concept, a Swedish producer of custom cases inspired by haute horlogerie for Apple Watches. All of them join the veteran firms in the room.

Sponsors also filled the three days of the event with exclusive experiences.
