Tabasco style savoir-faire

Savoir-faire is the skill or special grace that a person has to do something. This beautiful French concept is not exclusive to the Gallic nation, although the expression has been a Frenchness adopted by the world. It is more of a commitment to what you do, striving to achieve a formidable result and making your creations stand out above the rest.

That savoir-faire, present in art, gastronomy, crafts, and other disciplines, is what we want to invite you to share, a morning of Tabasco savoir-faire, thanks to the friends of MAP.

The appointment is by zoom and will take place on September 8 at 10:00 am, broadcasting live from the Williams-Sonoma de Polanco store facilities.

For 1 hour and 15 minutes, the charismatic Chef Aquiles Chávez will teach us how to prepare a three-course meal that will include recipes for mone de snook, lemon water with alfalfa, and a surprise Tabasco dessert. In addition to learning how to prepare incredible recipes and obtain many benefits, the best aftertaste will be to know that with your donation, tax-deductible, you help join the effort to raise funds in favor of the artisan Julián Martínez, originally from Nacajuca Tabasco.

With the proceeds, Julián Martínez, who has 17 years in the trade, will seek to open his wood carving workshop to preserve the technique that distinguishes him and generate jobs for his community, Nacajuca. A community deeply affected by the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and the different floods that have taken place in Tabasco.

Participants will have the opportunity to win incredible prizes such as Williams – Sonoma products, pieces of wood carved by artisan Julián Martínez, items from Le Creuset, and many others. Plus an additional 10% discount at the Williams – Sonoma and 2×1 entrances to the Museum of Popular Art, valid until December 31.
