Where do you keep your treasures? Those pieces whose value, whether sentimental or monetary, become something special. A gift necklace from a loved one, a fine watchmaking piece, a family heirloom, or perhaps even a love letter. Riches like that deserve to be in a more special place than a drawer. Ideally, these should be safe and protected in a shelter worthy of such valuable love.
This idea caused Philip Wolf I, a successful silversmith, to discover in 1834 that his pieces sold much better when presented in exquisite boxes. It wasn’t long before he began to sell more cases than silver, causing him to rethink his craft and thus spark the birth of what would become the legendary WOLF 1834.
In 1895, his son Philip Wolf II convinced his father to move the family business’ to Malmö in Sweden. Over time, his sons, Ernest and Philip II, proudly carried on the family tradition.
For the third generation, starting in 1930, the guidance of Philip Wolf III was the star element in expanding the Swedish factory. With firm and cautious steps, the house continued to evolve until, in 1962, its eldest son, Philip Wolf IV, emigrated to England to open a new factory.
Over time, its highly automated factory employed nearly 300 people; awarded as the largest manufacturer of jewelry boxes and display materials in the UK and much of Europe.
By 1988, with a booming economy and booming business in England, the time had come for the Wolf family to take on their biggest challenge yet and set out to conquer the US and Canadian market.
It was time for Simon Philip V, under the guidance of his father Philip IV, to persevere in further expanding and diversifying the company.
To this day, the legacy of the Wolf family continues to grow proudly through innovative designs, technological advancements, and the perpetual search for the perfect creations to protect your treasures.
After five generations, Wolf fully understands that our extraordinary objects represent the best moments in our lives and invite us to treasure them as they deserve.
WOLF 1834 arrives in Mexico City, thanks to the Palacio de Hierro de Polanco and Santa Fe. It is worth visiting these spaces to carefully choose the proposals in jewelry boxes and watch boxes that best suit your needs and reflect your style.
