In Italy, beauty is lived everywhere, especially in Milan, a city of culture and design where many of the grandest artistic trends of the 20th century emerged in the 1960s. In this creative environment, Pomellato was born. Fifty-five years later, Pomellato presents its third high jewelry collection La Gioia: A walk through nature, from dawn to dusk.
The novel collection portrays an imaginary landscape where nature is evocative, never static or decorative, from the first rays of the rising sun to the mysteries of the night. All masterfully executed in their iconic free-spirited style. Thirty-three jewels capture light, moods, and sensations in seven different themes expressed in the unique craftsmanship of Milanese jewelry.
Vincenzo Castaldo, creative director of Pomellato, explains: “During this walk through the natural world, the language revolves around the feeling and sensations of the journey, such as the texture of a flower petal, the nuances of a stormy sky or the beauty of one fiery sunset. We wanted La Gioia to generate emotions that bloom on the skin through organic jewelry that follows the body movement, adorning it with gold, stones, colors, and light. Nature evolves throughout the day to show its ever-changing facets, creating a dynamic dialogue in tune with our deep-rooted identity and iconic Pomellato style.”
Like all Pomellato jewelry, from the first design to the final setting, each piece has been created in the Casa Pomellato workshops in Milan. Masters of contemporary design and traditional goldsmithing, this collection has been elaborated totally by hand.
