Pictures for Proof, Gucci joins the metaverse and the latest from the Vault Project

Inspired by Alessandro Michele’s Gucci collections and as part of its Gucci Vault, the Italian house takes firm steps in the digital world and brings NFTs to the world of luxury. The latest initiative, 10KTF Gucci Grail, aims to broaden the Gucci Vault experience.

Wagmi-san has teamed up with Alessandro Michele to draw inspiration from his designs to create these ad hoc outfits and accessories available for the 10KTF digital store. Wagmi-san wore PFPs from 11 selected NFT collections, including the popular series Bored Ape, World of Women, and Cool Cats. PFPs, which stand for «Picture for Proof», are NFT versions of profile pictures that allow collectors to use them as their portraits.

The collaborative creations between Wagmi-san and Michele include two custom Gucci looks, available in multiple colors. Both are inspired by the Aria and Love Parade collections, respectively.

As the brand is already working with NFTs, the step towards personalized virtual outfits is just a natural progression. Meanwhile, three groups from PFP onwners, members of the Discord Gucci Vault community and those who already inhabit Wagmi-san’s New Tokyo will get the chance to redeem their crystal ball to choose from different Gucci looks to receive their customizable digital avatars.

That means only a limited number of users will wear Gucci in the metaverse. To help preserve the brand’s exclusivity.
