Reading Time: 1.6 min.

A hero helps those in need, conquers the impossible, and sometimes helps make dreams come true. Thanks to Disney and Christian Louboutin for the 100 years of Disney and in benefit of Make-A-Wish, many were able to be heroes and help fulfill thousands of dreams and obtain unique and extraordinary experiences and items donated to benefit Make-A-Wish as The Sea Queen uniquely inspired by the Marvel character, Namor.

The auction was held online from October 12 to 30 to celebrate 100 years of storytelling at Disney in support of Make-A-Wish, under the title Create 100, and involved collaborations from various creators from 18 different countries in the branches of fashion, music, art, and more.

Each of the artworks, items, and experiences takes inspiration from each creator’s connection to stories and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and the 20th Century.

As part of the initiative, Christian Louboutin is pleased to donate a unique custom style, the Sea Queen, created exclusively for the auction. This unique design is an original version of the magnificent Sea Warrior shoes from the Christian Louboutin × Marvel capsule, released on October 4. Celebrating exceptional craftsmanship, The Sea Queen takes inspiration from the Marvel character Namor.

At the top, the silver gems sculpted in the shape of fish scales are an invitation to immerse yourself in the underwater world, one of Christian Louboutin’s profound sources of inspiration since the beginning of his career. In addition, the metallic leather straps recreate the armor’s shape to embody the strong message of empowerment representative of the Marvel universe and the collaboration with Christian Louboutin. The winner received a unique model in their shoe size.

Among other unique pieces and experiences, bidders were able to bid on one-of-a-kind items such as Beyoncé’s epic leotard in the Disney film Black is King, a signed poster of the film Encanto by creative genius Lin-Manuel Miranda, an original autographed illustration of the Pixar characters, created by Pete Docter, Chief Creative Officer of the Pixar animation studios and director of great films such as Monsters, Inc., Up, Inside Out and Soul.
