Reading Time: 1.5 min.

With the pomegranate and the heat comes the season of Chiles en nogada, a delicious traditional Mexican dish reinvented and appropriated by several iconic chefs and restaurants, but which is unquestionable of Puebla origin and in its traditional recipe is weathered and filled with ground meat. The true connoisseurs know that the place to eat authentic Chiles en Nogada is in Puebla, and the luckiest of us know that you will find the best proposals in the traditional food of Chiles en Nogada from Tesoros de México, an incomparable feast for the senses that in its eighth edition surprised guests with extraordinary treats from El Sueño, Alquería de Carrión, El Mural de los Poblanos, Casa de los Muñecos, La Purificadora, CasaReyna, the Mesón Sacristía de la Compañía and the restaurant La Noria.

The banquet was held at the El Sueño boutique hotel, in the heart of the Puebla capital, an extraordinary place full of cozy details, which we will tell you about soon. The attention of its staff is unparalleled, and they made this great meal a fascinating experience full of tradition and pleasant conversations between colleagues and friends that we toasted with the best Abasolo and Nixta whiskey cocktails, Ancho Reyes liqueur, and a wine pairing by Casa Madero.

To share the proposal of each one of the representatives, at each table, they served chili peppers prepared with traditional ingredients, brought from the original municipalities of Puebla, but each one under the reinterpretation of the chefs of the different participating hotels and restaurants, all guaranteed by the quality seal promised by the service providers endorsed by the Tesoros de México seal. It’s a fact that all the proposals were a delight to the palate. But, the overall favorite was the one presented by the hosts.

Remarkable personalities from the world of tourism, gastronomy, and publishing were present at this meeting, such as our host, Héctor Fernández de Lara, Rafa Micha, Cecy Valdez, and Enrique Castillo Pesado, among others; Therefore, in addition to savoring the delicacies of the participants, we had the opportunity to learn more about the Tesoros de México seal and understand first-hand why this recognition is an assured guarantee of quality and commitment to the tourist service and gastronomy.
