80 Years of UNESCO at the Museo Nacional de Antropología

The Museo Nacional de Antropología set the stage for one of the most significant cultural events of the year in Mexico City: the 80th anniversary of the UNESCO. Held on March 24, the event brought together international delegates, cultural leaders, and notable figures such as Yalitza Aparicio and Reymix, establishing itself as a key meeting point for art, diplomacy, and tradition.

The celebration of UNESCO’s 80th anniversary in Mexico stood out not only for its institutional relevance, but also for the sensory experience that defined the evening. The international toast was led by Mezcal Oro de Oaxaca, which introduced a commemorative cocktail inspired by the cultural diversity championed by UNESCO—positioning Mexican mezcal as a contemporary force within high-end mixology.

Meanwhile, the iconic French house Barton & Guestier joined the celebration with a curated selection of Bordeaux red and white wines, reinforcing its legacy in the world of fine wine. These labels were presented by La Puerta del Sol, a key distributor in Mexico known for shaping experiences where culture, gastronomy, and internationally renowned houses converge.

More than a formal gathering, the event underscored Mexico City’s role as a global cultural hub—where art, gastronomy, and premium beverages come together to create meaningful, memorable experiences.
