Gucci and its obsession with improving the past

Reading Time: 1.2 min.

Taking inspiration from the past and improving it is the hallmark of Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s creative director. From collections co-designed with Harry Styles to collaborations with Palaces that evoke the nuanced trends of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, everything Gucci proposes reflects the past from a contemporary perspective. Today, the tendency is back with the launch of the Gucci Jacki 1961 Mini Calf Hair Bag duo.

After Gucci’s USD 6,000 punk-tinged Jackie 1961 and the riveted versions found at Gucci HA HA HA, the Italian luxury brand now brings her out in miniature size. Perfect for taking just the essentials with you on a night out. The mini Jackie 1961 in orange or pink calf hair features black leather trim in both presentations.

Similarly, both boast gold hardware for Jackie’s signature piston closure system, with further gold detailing on the leather hand strap. An additional leather strap converts the mini to a crossover style, creating a minimalist yet high-impact design.
