Mexico City has positioned itself as one of the most stimulating and vibrant showcases in the art and entertainment scene; this year Despertares®, by Isaac Hernández, the largest Ballet show in the world, returns to Mexico City on its seventh edition at the National Auditorium and the tenth edition of Despertares, the meeting of the best exponents of dance worldwide.
After two years of absence in Mexico, Despertares® returns to the National Auditorium this coming August 23 at 8:30 p.m., under the artistic direction of the Mexican dancer Isaac Hernández and the production of Soul Arts Productions, a production company directed by Emilia Hernández, executive producer of the show and of which both are co-founders.
Since its first edition in 2011, Despertares® has brought together on the same stage the most outstanding figures in international dance as well as the most relevant choreographic works in the world of dance, exhibiting classical, contemporary, urban ballet, tap, jazz, popping, live music, among others.
Through Despertares, the public in Mexico has had the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate great choreographic works performed by the greatest exponents of international dance productions hosted at the most demanding and prestigious stages globally.
The cast of Despertares will share performances by the company Ligthbalance, Alina Cojocaru, Alessandro Frola, Natalia Osipova, Catherine Hurling, Dores André, Tiler Peck, Esteban Hernández, Braylon Browler, James Streeter, Juliano Nunes, Katherine Barkman, Jason Kitterlberg, Roman Mejia, Germain Louvet, Kayla Mack, Max Cauthorn, Michelle Dorrance accompanied by live musicians, Chey Jurado, Sae Eun Park, Emily Suzuki, pianist Ana Fernández and Aszure Barton Artists.
