Japan is an ancient land in which tradition, appreciation of the arts, and values like discipline, patience, and diligence make it stand out from other nations and make it the land of origin for the best and most exclusive in the eyewear world. That is where DITA pieces come from. DITA is the brand that defines luxury in the eyewear industry.

Founded in Los Angeles in the 1990s, the brand began creating vintage-inspired frames from the 1950s and 1960s. By the end of the nineties, the brand was already the obsession of iconic figures in the world of rock thanks to epic pieces such as the Double Agent and the Agent 99 that became the object of desire of rockstars and fashionistas alike and today have positioned themselves as a favorite among international celebrities such as Robert Downey Jr, J.Lo, Cate Blanchett, Dwayne Johnson and many more.

The history of DITA shines with dashing pieces that have emerged from an extraordinary mosaic of sources of inspiration. Eyewear pieces created by the most dedicated master craftsmen to create unique proposals, designed to impact, empower, and with proper care, last up to three generations due to its resistance, technology, and select materials.

Among some of the most recognized pieces in DITA’s history, icons such as the Flight Series stand out, created to pay tribute to the supersonic military aircraft of the 1970s. An innovative frame made of titanium that began a trend since it offered a heftier interpretation of the classic aviator silhouette and that later, in its Flight .006 version, would achieve incomparable international fame and iconic status when seen on Robert Downey Jr, and his character Tony Stark as Iron Man.

DITA has also created statement pieces that have risen to fame after being seen by the most acclaimed celebrities. A great example of the romance between DITA and Hollywood stars is the spectacular and retro-futuristic DITA Hurricane lenses, one of Zendaya’s favorite glasses; she has worn them with different outfits and styles.

Another stunning example of DITA’s artistry is the Insider-Two, a frame that celebrates Hollywood’s Golden Age of creativity and timeless iconic style. Inspired by the neo-futurist conceptual artists of the ’50s and ’60s, DITA created a new silhouette designed to be lighter and more durable than the original Insider. Designed with an innovative frame technique that creates razor-thin profile geometries, the entire frame is featured through an innovative stainless steel core lamination process, 50% thinner than traditional acetate and more than twice as strong. Due to the technical -acuity involved in manufacturing, the stainless steel core lamination process takes three times longer to produce than the first model in that series. Due to the high demands imposed by the lamination process, only a limited facility in Japan has perfected the technique.

DITA, DITA Lancier, and other exclusive brands arrive in Mexico and Colombia thanks to the effort, trajectory, and reputation of Tangerine Supply Co. A 100% Mexican company founded by Rodrigo Alday that more than a distributor has positioned itself as the best luxury curator in accessories, beauty and fashion for Mexico and Colombia. Other titans of the luxury world stand out in its portfolio, like T. Henri, Valentino, Akoni, Ilmin, BALR, and more.
