El Palacio de Hierro Fall 2026 Fashion Show: Fashion Icons Take Over the Ring

Under the moonlight at La México, 60 models and 135 looks brought El Palacio de Hierro’s Fall-Winter 2026 season into the ring, in a night that transformed the encounter between Mexico and France into fashion, music, and celebration. Statement was there.

On September 23, La México began speaking a different language. For a few hours, the ring left its usual purpose behind and became a monumental runway where Paris and Mexico City met under the same moon.

The dress code had already set the tone: Fashion Icon. This was no invitation to go unnoticed. From the moment guests arrived, each interpreted the concept through their own wardrobe, turning the stands, entrances, and front row into a second runway.

Before the first look appeared, fashion had already begun.

The El Palacio de Hierro Fall 2026 Fashion Show was not simply about presenting the trends of the new season. The venue, music, gastronomy, and guests themselves became part of a production designed to extend the experience far beyond the runway.

Statement asked Werner Hirschi what the statement of a night like this was.

“It is a major fashion show, so ultimately it is a fashion statement. What we want to show today is our ability to curate a strong selection of fashion and present it in a spectacular way, in a place that is monumental in its own right,” he explained.

His answer summed up much of what would unfold throughout the evening. The selection mattered, but so did the way it was presented. And few settings could compete with the scale of La México.

Mexico and France Under the Same Moon

The Fall Fashion Show arrived in the year Mexico and France commemorate 200 years of diplomatic relations, a celebration El Palacio de Hierro has explored throughout the season with L’Art de Vivre Totalmente Palacio.

For Palacio, the relationship also has a history of its own: its origins are connected to French entrepreneurs Joseph Tron and Joseph Léautaud.

This time, fashion became their shared language.

The narrative began in the light of a Paris morning and ended with the energy of a Mexican night. Along the way came visual codes associated with both cultures: a beret, a tulle skirt, a cowboy hat and, finally, a bouquet of marigolds.

Rather than simply placing recognizable references side by side, the runway set out to transform them. Paris was not merely an aspirational destination, nor was Mexico reduced to a folkloric accent. The two worlds met and blended their codes throughout the show.

60 Models, 135 Looks and Four Acts to Define Fall

Sixty models and 135 looks shaped the runway through four distinct moments: Remix de clásicos, Legado natural, La noche and La celebración.

Remix de clásicos

The first act explored the transition from summer into fall through familiar pieces returning with a different attitude. Pure colors, mixed prints, stripes, sportswear references, and elements of streetwear brought classic silhouettes into a new context.

It was a light, urban, deliberately eclectic opening: the everyday wardrobe understood as a space for experimentation.

Legado natural

Then came a more introspective vision of fall. Earth tones, enveloping textures, heavier fabrics, and different interpretations of plaid created a warm elegance shaped by nature and nostalgia.

The idea of legacy was essential: not as a repetition of the past, but as something that can be inherited, reinterpreted, and worn again through a contemporary lens.

La noche

The third act changed the temperature of the show. Black and white, tailoring, shirts, ties, and corsets created a sophisticated, urban, and sensual proposition.

The construction of the garments became part of the narrative. Shoulders, waists, and precise lines conveyed strength, while contrasts introduced a theatrical quality made for after dark.

From Alaïa and Balmain to Macario Jiménez and Raquel Orozco

The runway brought Mexican and international labels together under a single styling direction. Alaïa, Balmain, Chloé, Christian Louboutin, Courrèges, Etro, Isabel Marant, Longchamp, Missoni, Pucci, Stella McCartney, and Victoria Beckham shared the stage with Mexican designers including Macario Jiménez and Raquel Orozco, alongside El Palacio de Hierro labels such as DHIERRO.

Adolfo Domínguez, Aleví, AMI Paris, Chester & Peck, Epsilon, Hanson, La DoubleJ, Maje, Mirto, Sandro, Simorra, Swarovski, TTEN, and Ulla Johnson were also part of the selection, among others.

Rather than a succession of independent collections, the result was an exercise in multibrand curation.

Under the styling direction of Gerardo Islas, and the vision of Tendencias Palacio led by Eli González and Valentina Cuéllar, the pieces came together to create a broader reading of fall: what to preserve, what to transform, and what to dare to wear after dark.

Michelle Trabolsi oversaw coordination and choreography, maintaining the rhythm of the four acts, while hair and makeup by Luis Gil completed the visual language of the show.

When the Runway Became a Party

An extraordinary moon hung above the runway.

Then fireworks lit up the sky and, within minutes, the space that had just hosted the models began to transform.

The runway ceased to be a boundary. Guests who moments earlier had been watching from their seats began moving into the center of the ring.

From the DJ booth, Ariana Arciniega guided the musical transition from fashion show to party. Cocktails, wine, and canapés by Gastronomía Palacio extended the experience into hospitality.

And then one of the evening’s most interesting ideas became clear: a contemporary fashion show does not necessarily end with the final look.

It can extend into music, food, space and, above all, the way those watching it eventually become part of it.

The Fashion Statement Was Everywhere

Choosing La México was not simply a matter of scale.

The ring brought monumentality, memory, and a powerful sense of spectacle. In a place where every gaze traditionally converges on the center, El Palacio de Hierro made fashion the absolute protagonist.

But perhaps the most interesting gesture was allowing the concept to escape the runway.

The dress code turned the audience into part of the visual composition. Fireworks transformed the sky. Music changed the energy of the venue. And hospitality extended the experience long after the show.

Before the night ended, Statement asked Rafael Arroyo, Marketing Director at El Palacio de Hierro, the same question: what was his statement for the event?

His answer required few words:

“The statement of this event is that El Palacio de Hierro is Mexico’s fashion statement.”

Perhaps that is why the Fall 2026 Fashion Show was never limited to presenting 135 looks. Everything happening around them became part of the same narrative.

At La México, fall began with a morning in Paris, ended among marigolds, music, and glasses raised in celebration and, for one night, turned the entire ring into a fashion statement.
