Every year, the Red Carpet Chopard collection surprises with a new proposal for the Cannes Film Festival. For this 76th edition, Caroline Scheufele has designed 76 pieces of High Jewelry inspired by the theme of art, thus extending the inspiration of the Red Carpet 2023 Collection to the 7 Arts.
Architecture, sculpture, painting, music, literature, dance, and cinema are the noblest forms of human ingenuity to which homage is through fascinating jewels that reflect the boundless curiosity of Caroline Scheufele. For example, an incredible ring stands out, whose central yellow sapphire of more than 127 carats is supported by a group of old-fashioned sculptures chiseled in gold on a ring set with diamonds in homage to architecture.
The collection pays tribute to literature and writers through a dressing of diamond and sapphire feathers skilfully worked into light scrolls. The dance is homaged by a set of a necklace and a pair of earrings whose diamond corollas elegantly outline the movement of the ballet stars’ tutus.
For its part, a diamond briolette choker celebrates music through the different rows of precious stones that trace the lines of a score. The color play of a ring in the shape of a butterfly, an insect often portrayed in the decorative arts to represent the ephemeral nature of life, seems to recall the play of colors and shapes mastered by painters.
The architecture is interpreted through an elegant tanzanite necklace with marked symmetry and skillfully studied proportions. And finally, how can we imagine a celebration of the 7 Arts without placing cinema at the center of creation? Caroline Scheufele has chosen a moon-shaped pendant for this purpose, an evocation of darkness without which it is impossible to immerse yourself in the emotions of a feature film.
