Intelligence can not be killed; believing a lie does not make it real. These and other reflections are what the artist Eko invites us to ponder and enjoy in the presentation of his short exhibit mural at the León Trotsky House Museum in an exhibition presented by Artists’ Container, with a curatorial text by Avelina Lésper, which shows us that art, creation, and intelligence can never be murdered but rather immortalized.
In this exhibition, the art, the revolution, and the ideas of those who once inhabited the space resurface in Eko’s protesting and challenging graphics and invite us to reflect on deep topics such as spirituality, society, dogma, and our position towards them.
This exhibition is part of the portfolio of presentations, exhibitions, and programs created by Artists’ Container, the cultural manager created by the artist Luigi Fantini, and the cultural promoter and columnist Gabriela Gorab. With this, they closed a cycle of exhibitions presented since January 2023 at the León Trotsky House Museum, which included proposals from national and international artists such as Brigitte Briones, Felipe Cifuentes, Andrés Alarcón, and more. Stay tuned to Statement to find out about future exhibitions and proposals from this group.
Visit this mural at the León Trotsky House Museum until February 18, 2024.
