One of the great designers from Argentina is Mr. Claudio Cosano, who recently surprised us with an outstanding collection where we delight ourselves with his charming Arab-inspired designs. He tells us:
The 2023 couture collection, dubbed Cairo, is inspired by a trip to Egypt and Turkey. I even captured the production in the pyramids in dresses from the collection.
This collection boasts a lot of color. Black always stands out when combined with bright colors such as fuchsia, neon green, and shades of orange and yellow. Gold and silver were also present.
Transparencies, necklines, and cuts marked the sensuality, while the spectacularity was in charge of the completely handmade embroideries in crystals and stones.
For fabrics, all genders were present. From the vaporous texture of natural silk muslin to the more structured ones such as pure silk taftan and shantung.
Hairstyles shined thanks to Leo Cosenza with long ponytails and makeup by Gervasio Larrivey, inspired by Arab makeup.
The hoods and scarves covering the hair served to mark the arabesque trend, as well as the music that accompanied the parade in a spectacular audience of more than 3,000 attendees. And the stellar presence of the iconic Susana Giménez, who joined me on the catwalk.
