There are different beliefs and myths regarding pork consumption and what it contributes to our food and nutrition. To learn more about it, experts from the U.S. The Meat Export Federation invited Statement to discover all about American pork, its benefits, and its versatility through an interactive workshop on stovetop and grill cooking methods.
For a couple of hours, chef Jared Marines and experts from U.S. MEAT Export Federation taught us how to prepare delicious recipes with pork as the protagonist, such as Cochinita Pibil, tacos al pastor, pork with mustard, and skewers.
Worldwide, pork occupies 44% of the meat consumed, which places it as the preferred meat in the world. It provides a hefty protein concentration since it has eight essential amino acids.
Pork meat strengthens the nervous system in children and accelerates the assimilation of nutrients during their growth. Pork is white meat, similar to chicken, turkey, or rabbit meat. This meat is extraordinarily nutritious and easy to digest.
