Feel Good Vintage, the new Longchamp and EU collaboration

When talent and creativity meet, a kind of magic arises to create unique pieces that reflect the emotions and experiences of the moment. New trends emerge, and the way is delivered to create something unforgettable. Such is the case of the latest collaboration between Longchamp and Emotionally Unavailable.

It is not the first time that the French firm and the Los Angeles-based brand, founded by Edison Chen and Kyburn Lee, have worked together. The difference is that this time the common thread that interweaves the pieces in the collection pays homage to North American tradition and its traditional patchwork. The result becomes pieces with a vintage vibe, reinvented with a modern design and inspired by the desire to travel and find yourselves again.

The main stars from the collection are two classic pieces from the Longchamp archives: a Garment Bag type suitcase, and a messenger bag, first designed by Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine in her early days at Longchamp. Both reimagined to adopt a fresher vibe and with new timely details such as a special compartment to place a tablet or laptop.

Thanks to the textiles and details of this collection, like a sweet-nostalgic floral print, the blue gingham pattern, and the iconic logos of the racehorse and EU’s bleeding crimson heart on canvas. Each piece evokes the feel-good spirit creators wanted to share. So necessary at a time like the one we have experienced this year.

Other jewels in this collection are the iconic Le Pliage® and its travel bag. Both with the same patched print and a backpack in floral print or khaki canvas. In all of them, the commemorative label of Longchamp ♥ EU stands out, and the legend Been a CHAMP a LONG Time, created for their first collection. This new delivery also includes two patterned shirts, one in white and one flowery, and two hoodies, perfect for a casual style.

The new collaboration presents a film inspired by the cult film Home Alone with Macaulay Culkin. One of the tapes that accompanied Kyburn Lee during the isolation by the pandemic and will be available for sale from December 28.
