Few stories in ballet and dance are as well known as that of Odette and Siegfried in Swan Lake, but what would happen if the story was told by the black swan and performed in contemporary dance? That is what The Infinite Company invites us to discover at the Chapultepec Castle under the artistic direction of Rodrigo González.
This extraordinary staging returns to the esplanade of the Chapultepec Castle National History Museum after a resounding success, to be presented from February 29 to April 7, 2024, with music by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky and twenty dancers on stage, who will wear surprising costumes created by Concha Orvañanos from Yakampot, thanks to the sponsorship of Grupo Presidente.
This surprising reinterpretation is to be performed by the talented dancer, choreographer, and artistic director Rodrigo González in co-direction with Raúl Tamez, winners of two moons of the National Auditorium and directors of the International Contemporary Dance Festival of Mexico City.
This presentation has the support of the ALSEA corporate, under the encouragement of EFIARTES in its support for culture and the arts in our country, to reaffirm itself as a culturally responsible company that provides its support to be able to carry out this grand staging in a magnificent setting such as the National Museum of History Castillo de Chapultepec, the only royal castle in Latin America.
This spectacular ballet has a set design with moving platforms and water floors made by Mario Marín, a set designer with great experience and multi-award-winning internationally, in addition to the famous music of Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.
The star dancers are Paulina del Carmen, Domingo Rubio, Arturo Huerta, Bryan Basantes, Aileen Aguilera, Alan Huerta, Eric Rodríguez, and Lilia Castaños. The performances will be from February 29 to April 7, 2024, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the play’s box office at Chapultepec Castle and Ticketmaster.
