Since 1963, the Palacio Card has transformed to generate unique experiences for its clients and thus become the most relevant credit option in El Palacio de Hierro. This year, it celebrates its 60th anniversary and announces different unique experiences.

The luxury department store in Mexico, always thinking about providing a great shopping experience to its community, Palacio established the first credit card, even before the Bank issued one. El Palacio de Hierro did it with the objective of improving and satisfying purchasing needs, thinking about people and not institutions as customers.

Finding a new credit system and defining the characteristics of the clientele, which would allow them to classify by niches, was only the beginning of an era of novel changes and evolution in terms of retail, without leaving out the wholesale market with which they began to operate and write this story of Iron.

Under the framework of celebrating these six decades of commitment and loyalty, El Palacio de Hierro held a magical night within its now iconic El Palacio de los Palacios to commemorate its cardholders throughout this trajectory, highlighting that there are clients with a history of the Palacio Card since that year.

Between champagne bubbles, exquisite snacks, and the harmonious voice of the Italian-Mexican soprano Filippa Giordano, who in her most lyrical style performed a classic repertoire, the Totales clients of Card Palacio, celebrities such as Juan Soler, Paulina Mercado, Horacio Pancheri, Isa Valero, among others, were able to celebrate the trajectory and launch of “special edition” of the Palacio credit card, designed by the talented sculptor Enrique Carbajal González, better known artistically as Sebastian, recognized mainly for his grand and iconic urban sculptures, such as the Torre del Caballito located on Paseo de la Reforma, the majestic main avenue of Mexico City and of which there is a scale replica inside El Palacio de Hierro Polanco on its ground floor, which takes inspiration from Paseo de la Reforma.

He was the most recognized urban sculptor with more than 260 sculptural works that mark urban spaces in many capitals of Mexico and the world who designed the cover of the new Palacio Card special edition, thus commemorating its 60th anniversary, with an iconic design in which his indisputable knowledge of the poetic feeling of geometry and his impeccable mastery of sculptural art and metallurgical technique predominate.

During the Fall Galas, Palacio Card customers will obtain their new special edition card (limited to 10,000 customers) and participate in getting gifts and surprises.
