Honoring pride month from May 17 to June 28, the Emilio Carballido House of Culture in the Benito Juárez Delegation is proud to present the exhibition Durante la Transición, a collective exhibition that explores love and human beauty that transcends conventional perceptions.
Through various artistic manifestations, the aim is to show how love in all its forms and the intrinsic beauty of the human being go beyond what the human eye can initially capture; the exhibition Durante la Transición invites us to immerse ourselves in the reality that all human beings live in a constant state of change and transformation. In that context, we explore the experiences of the LGBT+ community in Mexico, highlighting their struggles, triumphs, and challenges in an evolving environment.
The purpose of this art exhibition with an LGBT focus, named During the Transition, is to highlight that when exploring sexuality and decision-making, emotional bonds and the development of a harmonious society are fundamental, says Gabriela Gorab, curator of the exhibition. In the participating artists, we find names like Alejandro Glatt, Ale Jiménez, Alessandra Migliano, Christiane de Anda, Eko de la Garza, Emilia Duclaud, Ivan Madrigal Jorge Bordello, Jorge Quiroga, Luis Moor, Kvlla Piqueras, Maren Carrasco, María Ponce, Melquiades Garcia, Miguel Casco, Patti Pérez and Pedro Lollett.
