The magical Mexico of Chiles en Nogada comes to Gastronomía Palacio.

The most traditional and delicious season in Mexico arrived at El Palacio de Hierro, and to celebrate, a few lucky guests were invited to discover the inspiration behind the flavor of the season and celebrate the arrival of the Chiles en Nogada season at the Gastronomía Palacio restaurants in a magical setting of Mexico of yesterday and today.

The morning began at the Palacio de los Palacios as a meeting point. There, we Palacio friends embarked on the adventure aboard an incredible fleet of Volvo vehicles of different models that made the trip a delight in speed, among luxury and incomparable technology. Like everything in this meeting, the details were stunning. A great example is that upon noticing the slightest yawn from the driver, the vehicle’s technology asked the driver if he needed a break.

Upon arriving at our destination, we were left speechless upon the imposing and very Mexican beauty of the Hacienda Ometusco, known as the queen of the pulque haciendas. A setting full of history, grandeur, and Mexican pride. Between live music, fresh waters, cocktails, and Charrería, the afternoon became one for the books.

The crowning moment came after touring the hacienda to discover details full of Mexican charm, like learning about the history of the hacienda and the hat customization process with HZ Hats experts, among other surprises.

On an exquisite and flirtatiously Mexican table, the kings of the party came preceded by delicious comal quesadillas and a succulent seasonal mushroom soup, both perfectly paired with a Reserva de la Familia Reposado tequila from José Cuervo.

To the delight of the guests, the Chiles en Nogada and all the courses came served on lovely tableware from the new Ánfora collection. To say the Chiles were just delicious is an understatement. And the unexpected pairing with GH MUMM champagne took it to another level. Without a doubt, Gastronomía Palacio’s traditional recipe is a must-try for lovers of this dish. Exquisite, generously served, and with a presentation that conquers. You can’t miss them.

Before heading back, the evening came to an end with a speech from Gerardo Zepeda, from the great team at Gastronomía Palacio, to thank the guests, the team that made this fabulous meeting possible, and especially chef Alberto Centeno and his kitchen team who outdid themselves once again. All graciously accompanied by coffee and a magnificent dark chocolate cake with pomegranate, a firm favorite among guests.
