Eco-friendly fashion Chester & Peck x Della Terra

Reading Time: 2 min.

Faced with the climate crisis, fashion trends and preferences globally have radically changed to prefer increasingly conscious proposals that seek to offer a current and sustainable style in which caring for the environment is a real commitment and not just pretending. Finding garments created in favor of the environment and eco-friendly is now possible in Mexico, thanks to the latest Chester & Peck capsule collection in partnership with Della Terra, a novel Colombian brand created to protect the planet with a dashing style.

This collection presents versatile and comfortable garments for everyone, with streamlined silhouettes, in a nature-inspired palette, a timeless proposal assembled with organic and sustainable materials in green, brown, and sand colors.

Among the textiles in the Chester & Peck x Della Terra collection, linen could not be missing. This material is known as one of the most sustainable textiles since it requires little water to grow. Additionally, linen has lasting long shelf life and is biodegradable when disposed of.

Another essential material for this collection is organic cotton, whose production benefits the soil instead of damaging it, uses less energy, and releases fewer greenhouse gases. This collection features an extraordinary innovation from Chester & Peck x Della Terra, like Tencel. A textile made from sustainably managed eucalyptus wood, 100% natural and completely biodegradable, and Cupro, a regenerated cellulose fabric- also known as vegan silk- made from 100% plant-based materials that naturally biodegrade.

In addition to organic cotton, this collection includes recycled cotton, which vastly diminishes the amount of water used during its production since it does not need more fertilizer, pesticides, or insecticides and reduces the amount of textile waste in landfills.

The commitment of this collection to the planet is the real deal as it is manufactured with environmentally friendly policies, among which is committing to operate with clean energy and use suppliers with zero water discharges and wastewater neutralization.

The supplies and packaging are also ecological since the labels are made of 100% recycled PET and recycled cardboard and can germinate a plant. The garments have coconut buttons, and the bags come from biodegradable corn.
