To think of Haute Couture is to think of sublime silhouettes, craftsmanship, lightness, tradition, and fluidity, as Kim Jones, FENDI’s Artistic Director of Haute Couture and Womenswear, demonstrated during the FENDI Couture SS 23 runway. A celebration of Haute tradition Couture defined by femininity, luminosity, and detailed embroidery.
The collection is an inner world turned outer. Figuratively is a seductive proposal that stands out for a sense of underwear turned nightwear.
Winged sleeves are often detachable; lingerie inspires as part of a look, often with the same heavily embroidered and unexpected fabrics, even when invisible; the coats mirror the rich embroideries of their matching reversible dresses inside-out; «apron» skirts can also be fit as stoles.
One of the most valuable features is that many pieces are not just clothes to wear but to enjoy life. The draping and knotting on the bodice, the exploration of lace and its placement, and the hand pleating motifs, together with an exceptional knit elevation, give a sculptural and organic sensation.
