Carmina from House of Creed, legendary sensuality and audacity

Reading Time: 1.4 min.

Few firms have achieved the prestige and recognition over the years that Creed has cultivated for 260 years. This legend began in 1760 when the then-new tailoring brand presented a pair of scented leather gloves to King George III, created by the House of Creed and its founder, James Henry Creed. Since then, this prestigious house has been responsible for some of the most exquisite creations in the world of perfumery, and its new fragrance, Carmina, could not be the exception.

Carmina is a nod to Maison’s sartorial origins, as its inspiration comes from Henry Creed’s fashion sketchbooks, passed down to the Creed family for generations and recently rediscovered in the private rooms of Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie. The pages stood out with colorful dresses in voluminous, sumptuous fabrics that evoked a sense of incomparable grandeur, sensuality, and richness.

Carmina from House of Creed captures the spirit of the bold and passionate women found in these sketches. The composition of the fragrance inspires a notion of electrical sensitivity. It boasts a powerful silage of black cherry and pink pepper that adds modernity to the violets and muted rose. Saffron adds warmth layered with delicate musks and amber. Finally, cashmere wood adds the luxurious woody notes that make Carmina a captivating fragrance created with the finest ingredients.

Like other House of Creed offerings, Carmina uses heavy natural ingredients, hand-mixed and manually macerated in an artisanal way, in a small atelier near Fontainebleau, France, in a process that requires a lot of talent and labor in a work driven by art and perfection.

Carmina promises to become one of House of Creed’s star bets, as it sold out in its first weeks of release in Mexico.
