In 1983 two dedicated and passionate Botswana Safari guides decided to purchase a vehicle and set out to publicize their service as Wilderness Safaris. Today, forty years later, that dream has grown into The leading conservation and hospitality company in Africa, now named Wilderness Destinations.
Since forty years ago, Wilderness Destinations has purposed to conserve and restore Africa’s nature and wildlife by creating journeys that change lives and inspire positive action, with the ultimate goal of making a difference to Africa, its people, its landscapes, and its fauna. The pioneer company in ecotourism and sustainability in Africa currently has 3,000 employees, a presence in 8 countries, and more than 60 camps with which it seeks to continue creating memorable experiences for its visitors and generate a positive impact in the areas and communities in which it operates.
With this new era in its history, the company managed to convey this fresh air and the vision for the future of the Wilderness, endorsing its commitment to double conservation and sustainability practices in Africa and other territories, taking the purpose of conservation and hospitality to the world
The company’s makeover integrated a new name, a novel logo to reflect the two main objectives of the company: conservation and hospitality, a new color palette that represents the fusion of wildlife with adventure and nature with a touch of innovation, as well as a new web page through which its new message, Discover Earth’s Ultimate, Untamed Places.
